Isomorfismo entre dos anillos

RESUMEN. Establecemos un isomorfismo entre dos anillos.

Enunciado
(1) Demostrar que $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}]=\left\{{a+b\sqrt{2}}:a,b\in\mathbb{Z}\right\}$ es anillo unitario y conmutativo con las operaciones suma y producto habituales.
(2) Demostrar que $$H=\left\{{\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}}: a,b \in \mathbb{Z}\right\}$$ es anillo unitario y conmutativo con las operaciones habituales suma y producto de matrices.
(3) Demostrar que $f:\mathbb{Z}[ \sqrt{2} ]\to H$ dada por $$f(a+\sqrt{2})=\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}$$ es isomorfismo de anillos.

Solución
(1) Para demostrar que $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}]$ es anillo, bastará demostrar que es subanillo del anillo $\mathbb{R}$ con las operaciones usuales. Usamos la conocida caracterización de subanillos. Tenemos que $0=0+0\sqrt{2}\in \mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}].$ Por otra parte, para todo $a+b\sqrt{2}, c+d\sqrt{2}\in \mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}],$ $$(a+b\sqrt{2})-(c+d\sqrt{2})=(a-c)+(b-d)\sqrt{2}$$ y esta diferencia pertenece a $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}]$ pues $a-c$ y $b-d$ son enteros. Por otra parte, $$(a+b\sqrt{2})(c+d\sqrt{2})=ac+2bd+(bc+ad)\sqrt{2}$$ y este producto pertenece a $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}]$ pues $ac+2bd$ y $bc+ad$ son enteros.
En consecuencia, $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}]$ es subanillo de $\mathbb{R}.$ Es unitario pues $1=1+0\sqrt{2}\in \mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}]$ y es conmutativo por serlo $\mathbb{R}.$

(2) Para demostrar que $H$ es anillo bastará demostrar que es subanillo de $\mathbb{R}^{2\times 2}$ con las operaciones usuales. Usamos la conocida caracterización de subanillos. La matriz $\mathbf{0}$ de orden $2\times 2$ Es de la forma $$\mathbf{0}=\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}\text{ con }a=0,b=0\text{ enteros}$$ por tanto $\mathbf{0}\in H.$ Para todo par de matrices $$\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}, \begin{pmatrix} c & 2d \\d & c \end{pmatrix}\in H,$$ $$\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}- \begin{pmatrix} c & 2d \\d & c \end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix} a-c & 2(b-d) \\b-d & a-c \end{pmatrix}$$ y esta diferencia pertenece a $H$ al ser $a-c$ y $b-d$ enteros. Por otra parte $$\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}\begin{pmatrix} c & 2d \\d & c \end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix} ac+2bd & 2(ad+bc) \\bc+ad & 2bd+ac \end{pmatrix}$$ y este producto pertenece a $H$ al ser $ac+2bd$ y $bc+ad$ enteros. En consecuencia, $H$ es subanillo de $\mathbb{R}^{2\times 2}.$ Es unitario pues para $a=1,b=0,$ $$ \begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}= \begin{pmatrix} 1 & 0 \\0 & 1 \end{pmatrix}\in H.$$ Es conmutativo pues $$ \begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}\begin{pmatrix} c & 2d \\d & c \end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix} ac+2bd & 2(ad+bc) \\bc+ad & 2bd+ac \end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix} c & 2d \\d & c \end{pmatrix}\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}.$$
(3) Para todo $a+b\sqrt{2}, c+d\sqrt{2}\in \mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}],$ $$ f[(a+b\sqrt{2})+(c+d\sqrt{2})]=f[(a+c)+(b+d)\sqrt{2}]= $$ $$\begin{pmatrix} a+c & 2(b+d) \\b+d & a+c \end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}+\begin{pmatrix} c & 2d \\d & c \end{pmatrix}=f[a+b\sqrt{2}]+f[c+d\sqrt{2}].$$ Por otra parte, $$ f[(a+b\sqrt{2})(c+d\sqrt{2})]=f[ac+2bd+(bc+ad)\sqrt{2}] $$ $$ =\begin{pmatrix} ac+2bd & 2(ad+bc) \\bc+ad & 2bd+ac \end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}\begin{pmatrix} c & 2d \\d & c \end{pmatrix}=f[a+b\sqrt{2}]f[c+d\sqrt{2}],$$ por tanto $f$ es homomorfismo de anillos. Es además homomorfismo de anillos unitarios pues $$ f(1+0\sqrt{2})= \begin{pmatrix} 1 & 0 \\0 & 1 \end{pmatrix}.$$ Veamos que $f$ es inyectiva. En efecto, $$\ker f=\{a+b\sqrt{2}\in \mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{2}]:f(a+b\sqrt{2})= \begin{pmatrix} 0 & 0 \\0 & 0 \end{pmatrix}\}$$ $$=\{a+b\sqrt{2}: \begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix} = \begin{pmatrix} 0 & 0 \\0 & 0 \end{pmatrix}\}=\{0+0\sqrt{2}\}.$$ Es además sobreyectiva pues para todo elemento $$\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix}\in H$$ se verifica $$f(a+b\sqrt{2})=\begin{pmatrix} a & 2b \\b & a \end{pmatrix} .$$ Concluimos que $f$ es isomorfismo de anillos.
